Fractured rock masses
Treat connected fractures and discontinuities to improve continuity and support within selected areas of weak or disturbed rock.
GeoPro Ground-Engineering Systems
Specialist injection-resin systems for consolidating fractured rock, treating connected fissures and improving continuity within unstable or water-affected rock masses.
Injection-based rock consolidation
Fractured and discontinuous rock can compromise stability, permit water movement and reduce the dependable performance of an underground structure or excavation.
GeoPro injection systems are introduced through planned boreholes and packers to penetrate connected fissures, fractures and discontinuities. The injected material reacts within the treatment zone, bonding the affected rock and improving continuity through the treated mass.
The treatment arrangement is developed around the geology, fracture network, groundwater conditions, site access and required engineering outcome. Resin selection and injection parameters must therefore be confirmed for each project.
Rock-support injection can address several related ground conditions. The precise objective and treatment sequence should be established from site investigation and current technical information.
Treat connected fractures and discontinuities to improve continuity and support within selected areas of weak or disturbed rock.
Introduce injection material into accessible fissure networks where controlled penetration and reaction are required within the rock mass.
Select systems capable of operating under the identified moisture and groundwater conditions while developing the required bond within the treatment zone.
Stabilise defined areas around excavations, underground workings or structures where localised treatment is preferable to widespread intervention.
Project approach
Technical note: Product suitability, borehole arrangement, injection pressure, material quantity and treatment sequence must be established against the actual site conditions and the current GeoPro technical documentation.
Rock-Support Injection Systems
GeoPro SP-16 and GeoPro LF-10 provide two different resin technologies for selected fractured-rock consolidation and fissure-treatment applications. Final selection depends on the geology, groundwater, fracture network and required engineering outcome.
GeoPro Injection Technology
A specialist two-component silicate injection system for the consolidation and stabilisation of fractured rock.
Product 01
Two-Component Silicate Resin
GeoPro SP-16 is a two-component silicate system developed for consolidating and stabilising fractured rock. Its reaction characteristics support controlled treatment of fissures and discontinuities within the rock mass.
Final product selection and injection must be confirmed against the current technical documentation and the conditions identified at the project site.
Product 02
Two-Component Low-Foaming Polyurethane
GeoPro LF-10 is a two-component, low-foaming polyurethane injection system for selected rock-consolidation and fissure-treatment applications. Its characteristics include wet tolerance, strong adhesion and resistance to selected chemicals and hydrocarbons.
Suitability must be assessed against the geology, groundwater conditions, fissure characteristics, required engineering outcome and current technical documentation.
GeoPro Injection Technology
A specialist low-foaming polyurethane system for selected rock-consolidation and fissure-treatment conditions.
Technical selection: Product selection, injection pressure, borehole arrangement, packer configuration, treatment sequence and verification requirements must be determined from the actual site conditions and current GeoPro technical documentation.
